Some things about this story may be a bit confusing since I'm testing some new writing techniques. First, this story will be told through the perspectives of three characters. Each chapter will also have parts in both first-person and third-person. Usually, normal events will occur in third-person, while introspection and monologues will be done through first person. No other characters' perspectives will be shown but hopefully their actions and dialogue will do the job of revealing their personalites and thoughts. In addition, each character has a different way of telling the story.
1. Focus on dialogue, little attention to visual details
2. Constant evaluations of characters/motives. Terse descriptions.
3. Selfish, only paying attention to things that impact the individual. Very descriptive.
Other things worth noting are the random languages used throughout the chapters. I believe that certain interjections and slang should be native to the character's language (Raoul and some others will speak Spanish and the Rafe brothers will speak British). Gavin also has a penchant for speaking in tongues. This is not fangirl Japanese! Gavin is a linguist and likes to randomly show off his skills in front of people, particularly with pet names and interjections. He will use words in Japanese, Spanish, French, and German. All foreign language phrases will have their meaning linked through an endnote, except for those that I feel are obvious.
Pay attention to boldings of words such as Hale and Hale. The unbolded version in the title while the bolded version is the actual symbol. I try not to make this too confusing. Most foreign phrases will also be in italics, except for British slang.
Wolf hierarchy is as follows: The Hale, The Council, The Fenrics, The Alphas, The Betas. The Tala isn't always in every generation and is either the wolf that consumates a relationship with the Hale or a female wolf that overthrows the Hale. None can challenge the Hale except for those who bear the Hale. However, the Hale can waive this rule and allow random challenges. This most often occurs when the Hale feels the pack is losing confidence in his leadership and must prove his worth by defeating the leader of the non-believers. The Council can also decree a vote of no confidence and force the Hale into a fight. The one who challenges the Hale is known as a Fenris.
About random pack members, they have names merely for the sake of being characters. They will not have any other purpose or role. They are just around because having a pack of 5 or so members is pretty sad. ^^;;
